POSITION SUMMARY: The Policy and Quality Data Coordinator is responsible for managing the policy approval and renewal process at CHRISTUS St. Vincent (CSV), and for maintaining the internal policy document management system including archiving old policies and keeping the site current with new policies. The Coordinator is the point of contact for new policies being developed and policies that need modifications. The Coordinator assists managers and directors in ensuring policies are collaboratively reviewed by any department affected by the policies. The Coordinator may be asked to research and suggest best practices for policies. In addition, the Coordinator will provide oversight of the protocols within the policy management system. The Coordinator will provide the calendar for annual review of existing protocols, assist the chairperson with the monthly agenda and work collaboratively with the Medical Staff Office which provides administrative support for the clinical protocol (CPC) committee. The Coordinator will also be responsible for data management as assigned. The Coordinator is responsible for communicating with the Director for Patient Safety, Accreditation and Quality Director on a regular basis. The Coordinator assists in readiness and regulatory activities as needed.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, in Nursing or Project Management required. Masters in Administration is highly desirable.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: N/A, Current Nursing License is Applicable.
SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Pro
Excellent oral and written communication

EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in a healthcare setting is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to move around CSV facilities and to all hospital units/departments. Extensive use of a computer for required applications. Requires close work, good vision, and dexterity to write as well as type. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop, and communicate written materials. Requires the ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
