Job Summary:
Provides leadership over VUMC enterprise data services by developing goals, strategic objectives, policies, and procedures. This role is responsible for the success of the data engineering teams, including customer alignment and support, prioritization and delivery of projects and strategic investments, and delivery of data products and platform solutions. The individual will work closely with peers and executive leadership across HealthIT, as well as the wider VUMC community. The contributions of this role are foundational to the success of VUMC's strategies and goals in patient care, research, and education. The role will report to the Executive Director of Product Development in HealthIT.

Key Responsibilities
Leads the data engineering and data platform teams
Responsible for delivering high-quality data products and services to data-customers across VUMC
Partners with leadership to continue to strengthen data security and compliance controls in concert with fostering a data driven culture
Partners with other leaders in support of the Vanderbilt Reporting and Analytics (VERA) program
Promotes and evangelizes best practices, opportunities, strategies, and roadmaps among the VERA community
Core Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of experience working in the healthcare data space (Epic experience preferred)
Databricks experience preferred
Experience working in an Academic Medical Center (AMC) preferred
