The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides strategic leadership, operational and clinical oversight for all aspects of nursing practice, patient care, and operations. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to advancing nursing practice, education, and research.
The CNO is responsible for the standards of practice and the standards of professional performance for nursing in the organization. Roles and responsibilities are also in alignment with the organization's professional practice model including the principles of role-based practice, relationship-based care, recovery model (Resnick) and the components of the Magnet model. The CNO will collaborate with other members of the executive team to develop and implement strategies that promote excellence in patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
The University of California, Los Angeles is required toprovide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Thisrange takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered inmaking compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills,knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and otherbusiness and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to beoffered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offersare determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is min: $201,800 mid:$349,400 max: $497,000. The budgeted salary range that the Universityreasonably expects to pay for this position is about $275,000-$325,000.

Required Qualifications:
Registered Nurse in the State of California (or Registered Nurse with eligibility for licensure in the State of California)
BSN and/or master's degree in nursing or a related field
CPR Certification
Progressive nursing administrative experience with at least 5 years in an academic medical center with high level or organizational and hospital responsibility
