The Department of Surgery is seeking to hire a full time Project Policy Analyst 4 will serve as the Executive Director for the Program for the Advancement of Surgical Equity (PASE) Program. The PASE Program was established to reduce the disparities in surgical disease outcomes by promoting collaborative research, community partnerships, and supporting capacity building through training and education. In this capacity, PASE:

• Develops long term partnerships with local and international organizations and institutions to identify opportunities to improve access to and delivery of surgical care through program development, research and education. 
• Conducts rigorous epidemiological studies that highlight injury and surgical inequity and test solutions to inform policy
• Educates and trains future leaders in surgical equity and global surgery. 

• Fiscal management of these programs and as well as maintaining and growing the PASE program.
• Planning, development, and execution of all operations to meet the mission and goals of the program/project.
• Production of all deliverables, planning and coordination, strategic planning, communication, supervision, training, financial oversight, and grant writing. 
• Planning and executing all program/project activities, works independently and in teams including external collaborators, in a high volume fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, supervises staff, understands and ensures compliance with UCLA, state, and federal regulations.
