Responsibilities
Pediatrix® Medical Group of Florida, is seeking a full-time experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our respected neonatology practice at Joe DiMaggio Childrenâ™s Hospital, a U.S. News-ranked childrenâ™s hospital and the largest NICU in Broward County.
Joe DiMaggio NICU has 62 Level-IV NICU beds and 22 Level-II beds; average daily census of 70 and over 5,000 annual births
System-wide the two sister NICUs have 36 Level-III beds and an additional 8,000 annual births
Robust high-risk perinatal navigation program
Full complement of pediatric subspecialists
Care of full range of complex neonatal diagnoses
On site ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, BPD programs, full range of ventilation modes including HFOV, HFJV, NAVA
Variety of shifts including 10-12 hour day shifts and 12-16 hour night shifts
Rotations to Memorial West and Memorial Miramar with 24 hour shifts

A 4-story vertical expansion was completed at Joe DiMaggio in 2023, as well as a womenâ™s and childrenâ™s outpatient pavilion in the nearby Miramar facility
Memorial Healthcare received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its first class of pediatric residents in 2018
The NICU is one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers (RPICC) in Florida

Qualifications
Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Minimum of a masterâ™s degree
Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU
