Acute Therapy Occupational Therapists

Looking for an OT who is flexible, creative, committed, reliable, and able to operate at the highest level of clinical practice. The employee must be self-driven, outcomes oriented, and able to demonstrate quality work within a fast paced environment, so as to meet productivity as it aligns with our stewardship value. A good candidate is also someone who is highly collaborative and able to see the big picture. There is need for strong communication between OT/PT/PTA/COTA/SLP, as well as other care team members such as physician, nursing and CM/SW. One must be comfortable, willing, and capable to work as a team, as well as work independently, but pull in assist when needed.

The Acute Therapy department at Good Samaritan focuses on acute inpatient therapy in ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, ED, ortho, total joint replacements, neuro, and podiatry. MultiCare utilizes EPIC for all electronic medical records. The full-time position is benefitted (Medical, Dental, Vision, Continuing Education, PTO, sick time). Full-time employees are required to work 3 Holidays per year and are randomized for equitys sake.

Position Summary

Responsibilities

• You will perform well in stress and emergency situations
• You will perform patient evaluations/re-evaluations, establish a treatment plan, and modify the treatment plan according to the needs of the patient and response to treatment
• You will perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed
• You will perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate
• You will communicate well with patients, peers, and other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients

Requirements

• State of Washington Occupational Therapist license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a social or health setting required
