Position Information:
LPG Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a laborist physician BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join their busy team. This practice consists of fifteen physicians, sixteen CNM’s and three APRN’s. The physicians perform deliveries out of our Healthpark Medical Center with privileges at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida and Lee Memorial Hospital. Together the practice delivers on average over 200 babies per month. Schedule is 7on/7off from 7a – 7p.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform Deliveries-vaginal, C-section as primary or assisting.
Perform Gyn/OB surgeries such as Laparoscopic ectopic pregnancy management, D&C’s, circumcisions among other surgical procedures
Perform antepartum and postpartum rounds
Support and consult with APP’s via phone/in person and cosign notes related to rounds and management
Cover ER calls, Gyn consults, floor calls and Epic in baskets
Receive phone calls from OB triage and provide disposition on such patients
Perform GYN consultations, assist is complex GYN surgeries as needed (ranging from hysterectomies to laparoscopic surgery)
Participate in GYN Call Pool
Participate in Lee Physician Group and Health Park Medical Center Meetings such as monthly LPG Dept Mtg, Quarterly Hospital OBGYN Dept Mtg and other relevant meetings
