We are seeking a patient focused Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our highly skilled team. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative group of physicians, in a well-established, fast paced, academic environment. This physician will provide services at our at our Level 1 Trauma center in downtown Indianapolis in addition to Roudebush VA and Eskenazi Hospital. The candidate will also have protected research time and the ability to work with medical students and residents.
Job Duties:
Cardiovascular Surgery for adult cardiac surgical patients
Procedures include CABG, Valve Replacement, TAVR, TEVAR, Valve Repair and Aortic
Inpatient, outpatient and OR coverage with shared call
Support, and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent processes in place for successful patient outcomes
Full-time position and academic / clinical rank will commensurate with experience
Residents will rotate on this service
Basic Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have M.D., DO, or equivalent education
Completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship or integrated program
American BC/BE in Surgery
Established research portfolio
Collaborate and successfully interact with a multi-disciplinary team to promote high-quality patient outcomes.
Requires excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and verbal communication skills.
