SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Assists with: a variety of tasks and operations to prepare, serve and receive payment for food and non-food items offered in the cafeteria. Follows standard practices and procedures in the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Maintains a high level of sanitation and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Any combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the capability to perform the duties of the position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Restaurant experience is preferred
One (1) month effective experience in a retail, convenience store, or restaurant environment preferred
Must be able to read, comprehend and follow simple verbal and written instruction
Must have basic math skills, and verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to understand work schedules, production sheets, and recipes
Must be able to operate a cash register, calculate change, calculate stock-on-hand vs. need, use serving and preparation tools and equipment
