IU Health Physicians is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Family Medicine team at our Epler Parke clinic!
Position Details:
Full-time, Day Shift
Offering a 5 or 4 day work week
No weekends, holidays, or call, allowing for work/life balance
100% outpatient
Expected patient volume is 80/week, all ages
Team includes 7 physicians and 1 other advanced practice provider
Key Responsibilities:
Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
Serves as an advocate for patients, staff, and management.
Manage acute and long-term care of the patient.
Qualifications:
Master's degree required
FNP or PA certification required
2-3 years of outpatient experience in primary care or urgent care highly preferred
Will consider highly motivated new graduates with ICU, ER or Critical Care RN Experience
