Make a difference and improve the lives of those in need as an Pediatric Clinical Social Worker with our Venice Family Clinic. The Venice Family Clinic provides primary medical and mental health care to the community of Los Angeles. Within the clinic is a robust Behavioral Health program that houses social workers, domestic violence specialists, substance use staff and case management. The Pediatric Clinical Social Worker will be a therapist for a comprehensive early childhood program. This includes providing clinical interventions using homebased infant mental health treatment with pre-natal parents, and postpartum infant-caregiver dyads to support healthy attachment and development. Work can include crisis intervention and will also consist of collaboration with case management and medical providers. This role will work independently under the general direction of the EHS Director, BH Director, and direct supervision of the Infant Mental Health program supervisor to implement program activities and clinical care. They will also work closely with the Pediatric Case Manager to provide comprehensive and collaborative care with outside agencies to support families’ SDOH needs. The therapist will focus on BH interventions and touches throughout our pre/postnatal program.

Salary range: $51.94 - $62.08 Hourly
CSW 3 Requirements:
Graduation with Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Social Welfare.
California State license to practice as a LCSW.
Excellent communication skills and advanced verbal Spanish communication skills.
Demonstrated work experience with underserved populations, and skill at assessing the psychological needs of low income populations.
Demonstrated work experience in individual, family and group therapy.
Working knowledge of California abuse reporting laws.
Effective interpersonal skills; ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and diffuse patients who become agitated.
Knowledge of community mental health and social services.
Skill at developing treatment and case management plans.
Demonstrated leadership skills to initiate problem solving and program implementation
Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.
Training in early childhood development, and knowledge of early childhood development and substance use disorders.
