The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri is hiring a philanthropy professional for our frontline fundraising team. This person will have experience building individual donor relationships and engaging philanthropic investment. They will be motivated by a mission to help donors enrich lives, save lives, and transform health care through charitable gifts, and invigorated by a collaborative and collegial atmosphere that celebrates the success of the individual and the team! This individual contributor collaborates strategically with colleagues to secure new philanthropy in support of key priorities for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and its affiliated entities, including Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, Siteman Cancer Center, Evelyn’s House/Hospice, BJC HomeCare, and the Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing. Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Role Purpose
Responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors.
Responsibilities
Manages portfolio of individual major gift prospects for annual operations.
Works with director to develop on-going strategies, timelines, objectives, and metrics for the assigned portfolio of prospects with a focus on annual objectives and other priority projects.
Solicits individual major gift prospects for capital, endowment, and programmatic gifts as assigned.
Ensures proper recording of all contacts with prospects and the appropriate gift acknowledgement and stewardship of assigned donors.
