The role you’ll contribute: The Director of Clinical Operations has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for operational management of Surgical Services for the Main OR.The Director fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan for Surgical Services through an accountable work team.As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Director, under the guidance of the AVP of Surgical Services, collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment.
The Director demonstrates leadership skills in assuring that appropriate care is carried out for the surgical patient population(s) in the operative environment. The Director is responsible for promoting teamwork with physicians and all members of the health care team.The Director is responsible for establishing the tone of the work environment and ensuring that all personnel are competent, adhere to all policies of the department and organization and adhere to all behavior standards of AdventHealth Tampa.
The Director will be directly responsible for the Main Operating Room.This will include the roll out of new initiatives, including operational, Surgeon and Staff satisfaction, partnering with the surgical business unit, surgical supply, anesthesia, quality metrics and reporting, staffing, hiring, etc. This position will be responsible for navigating all daily operational issues within the listed areas and will report directly to the AVP of Surgical Services. The director will also be ensuring all surgical staff within the designated areas are following updated processes to ensure patients receive efficient care. This will be done by providing timely reports to the AVP on a routine basis, collaboration with Surgical Governance, AVP of Surgical Services, C-Suite, etc. This position will require strong leadership skills as well as communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with all levels in the hospital and corporation.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Past Leadership including experience in OR operations and OR Management
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·AORN, AAMI, standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·Up to 1 year of Position-Related Experience
·Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or related field.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
·Florida Registered Nurse License
·CPR obtained through the American Heart Association
