The role you’ll contribute:
The Perinatal Sonographer is a member of a multidisciplinary team working to evaluate, diagnose and manage maternal and fetal conditions during pregnancy. This role requires a solid diagnostic ultrasound skill set and medical knowledge of multi-system fetal developmental abnormalities.
·The sonographer must be able to provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective.
1.Ensure a safe and comfortable experience for the patient during the study.
2.Create and edit orders in the electronic medical record.
3.Create patient records in the sonography reporting software system.
4.Create sonographer reports in the sonography reporting software system and enter requisite data.
5.Demonstrate timeliness in completion of studies and documentation.

The sonographer must demonstrate knowledge of the requisite biotechnological and biomedical sciences, as well as application of this knowledge to patient care.
1.Optimize US settings for image acquisition.
2.Differentiate normal from abnormal fetal anatomic development.
3.Identify sonographic aneuploidy markers.
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
The sonographer must be able to perform all the following diagnostic procedures.
Detailed fetal anatomic surveys
Doppler assessment of arterial and venous blood vessels.
Nuchal translucency
Fetal growth assessments
Biophysical Profiles
Transvaginal cervical length assessments
Provide sonographic assistance for procedures (chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, cerclage)
Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography; or high school diploma or GED and clinical ultrasound/vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn.
Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS OB/GYN) granted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn and remain in good standing.
Minimum 3 years of experience in perinatal sonography.
Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements
Current BLS
Current driver’s license issued by Department of Motor Vehicles
Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynecology (RDMS OB/GYN) granted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn and remain in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
NT credential preferred, but not required
Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography Experience
NT credential preferred, but not required
