The Department of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and visionary Program Director to lead the innovative research project: "Multi-ethnic Multi-level Strategies and Behavioral Economics to Eliminate Hypertension Disparities in LA County." This role is critical in advancing health equity and addressing systemic disparities in hypertension care for underserved communities. As the Program Director, you will oversee all aspects of the project’s planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring its objectives are met with precision and impact. You will provide leadership and support to external facilitators, fostering collaboration and alignment with the project’s goals. Working closely with primary care clinic teams, you will help implement effective strategies that empower clinic personnel and improve equitable delivery of care for patients and their communities. Annual range: $102,500-$227,700
- Advanced degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Academic background and experience in selected area of research
- Advanced knowledge of administrative, budgetary, human resources and financial principles and practices
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Advanced ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups to achieve results
- Advanced ability to work collaboratively with internal and external peers and managers
- Highly skilled fundraising experience required
