Summary:
Patient Scheduler Pediatric Therapy is responsible for ensuring all patient referral information is accurate including diagnosis, referring physician, and appropriate therapy ordered; coordinating the therapists? schedule based on patients? needs; greeting patients and working with them in person, on the phone or through electronic correspondence to meet their needs regarding scheduling, updating patient information; managing the patients? schedule and communicating all appointment information to patients? family and Pediatric Therapy staff. Patient Scheduler Pediatric Therapy shall facilitate a warm welcome and easy access to the facility and be responsible for establishing a positive encounter with all patients and family members who are referred for outpatient therapy services. The Administrative Assistant shall be primarily responsible for managing the patient schedule and communicating all appointment information to both families and individual staff. The associate will also communicate directly with physicians, nurses, insurance companies and third-party payers in a professional manner. This position requires professional appearance, behavior, and excellent communication skills. Patient Scheduler representatives require dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.
