Summary:
This position is responsible for helping develop the vision that will result in optimal cross-functional supply chain improvements and decisions, efficient, compliant and effective performance, and transparent and informative communications. This role will play an integral role in delivering strategic data assets and insights, establishing and implementing the supply chain enabling technology roadmap, implementing internal and external communications and websites, enabling the sourcing organization in exploring opportunities, and driving operational excellence through performance tracking and management. Responsible for systems governance and data integrity (project management, implementation and ongoing production support) of major information technology and systems to support system-wide supply chain operations. Position sets overall supply chain information technology and systems strategy based on business needs and relates this to IT organizational goals. Position is responsible for Financial / Accounting systems to include the following components: finance and accounting information system (ERP component materials management information system (ERP component), accounts payable, inventory management, supply systems, spend analytics, contract management, RFX/Auctioning, Prodigo, GHX etc.
Responsibilities:
This position leads a newly created Supply Chain Enabling Technology, Reporting, and Analytics function reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain maintaining with the following responsibilities:
Supply Chain systems Strategy, Implementation, Ongoing Management
Supplier Relationship Management
Program Management & Project Tracking
Recall Management Reporting and Support
SLA Monitoring & Reporting for Supply Chain
Supply Chain Diversity & Sustainability; establish group to report metrics, promote increase use of diverse suppliers and sustainability initiatives
Reporting and Analytics
Risk Monitoring & Reporting
Communications, Policy, and internal and external training
Contract Management and System administration
Internet & Extranet content development & management with Corporate Communications
Point of coordination for internal and external Audits / Compliance / Policy
These functional responsibilities include the development of the first diversity / sustainability supply chain program to enable the sourcing organizations reporting and identification of new sources of supply and products and services that reduce environmental impacts and improve client care. This new role will be building a team of five professionals. Project Management and Diversity Manager, Contract Administrator, Communications and Training Manager, and two supply chain analysts.
Lead overall Supply Chain related Systems, Analytics, Reporting, Communications organization with the objective of using information as a strategic advantage.
Develop and build capabilities and talents to deliver innovative solutions using technology and information to optimize performance and sustain year-on-year productivity and operational excellence.
Creates an enthusiastic, proactive, creative organizational environment where team members are motivated to act as supply chain advisors to identify new opportunities, support business priorities, and meet customer expectations.
Develop, document, and implement tools and improved processes for the supply chain organization.
Propose and drive improvements to business processes by challenging existing practices. Support supply chain organizational transformation to become a more agile integrated supply chain. Drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making enabled capability.
In partnership with IS, drive the implementation of transformational workstreams that involve systems, content, or process improvements. Key examples include the automation of order acknowledgments into Peoplesoft, Automating vendor add process, and working with SC peers & GPOS to clean up system content. Review and update PO Categories, Vendor Master, Item Master Information, Pricing Catalogs (including eliminating unused items), Payment Terms.
In Partnership with the Vice President of Supply Chain create and monitor supply chain performance metrics, track individual and department metrics, and create dashboard for ongoing communications and monitoring.• Take a leadership role in the development of a data-driven cultural shift by designing and operationalizing standard supply chain / operations metrics, reporting and scorecards
Collect external benchmark information and evaluate against current operational performance to identify improvement opportunities as well as Sourcing and Category Planning Activities
Advise and implement with IS, Project Management of overall transformational systems, reporting, communications, and technology roadmap.
Manage System Access and Associated Controls.
Support Supply Chain Audit and Compliance Management.
Help to drive cross-functional understanding and collaboration across the supply chain and operations team as well as other cross-functional partners.
Support Sourcing, Contracting, and Value Analysis on Analytics and Reporting including support of category planning activities.
Responsible for Policy Management including the development and updating of associated supply chain Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for the development and execution of internal and external training.
Responsible for the development of communication content, methods, and delivery to ensure internal and external audiences are aware of Supply Chain Initiatives, Changes, Processes, and Practices proactively.
In partnership with DFCI’s broader sustainability and green initiatives establish and promote DFCI Supply Chain program, define objectives and engagement practices.
Develop Supplier Performance Management Program responsible for Patient Facing Agreement Assessments, and broader supplier performance management program
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Specific concentration: Business, Analytics, Supply Chain or equivalent
Experience level: 7-10 years in related Supply Chain or equivalent role
Experience with SQL, data visualization development, advanced analytics tools
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a collaborative environment, ability to multi-task, mentor, teach and communicate.
Demonstrated success translating data into actionable insights
Extensive experience with Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance Information Technologies
Ability to lead, coach, and mentor
Ability to translate data to insights
Oral and written communication with impact
Manage/contribute to multiple dynamic priorities
