Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) New Brunswick is seeking an Associate Chief of Hospitalist Medicine in the General Internal Medicine Division within Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, The State University of New Jersey.
The Associate Chief will work closely with the Chief of Hospitalist Medicine and section directors to oversee daily operations, including scheduling, managing patient flow, and ensuring team adherence to clinical standards.
SOME DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
Ensure that the patient flow and census are akin to those consistent with SHM and national standards.
Review the documentation, coding, and billing practices of each hospitalist physician and APP, with plans for improvement discussed with each member on a quarterly basis.
Work closely with the Chief of Hospital Medicine in monitoring metrics for the hospitalists group as defined by the service line.
Monitor interdisciplinary rounds and works with the Chief of Hospitalist Medicine to strategize improvements to the interdisciplinary rounds.
Participate in the educational, patient care, research, and quality improvement activities of the Hospitalist Medicine service line
Perform clinical duties related to Hospitalist Medicine.
