The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Operations Primary Care is responsible for the overall operational growth and performance of the AdventHealth Primary Care practice in their assigned market(s). The Director of Operations has direct oversight and accountability of all practice operations assigned to them. Responsibilities include operating the practices in a manner to ensure expected results are achieved and leading a culture that allows us to be Exceptional, Connected, Affordable and Viable.
The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall operational success of medical practices in their market(s) to include up to 100 providers.Provides strategic leadership and direction utilizing the tools that have been provided, including the coordination of all practice activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment. The Director of Operations will need to understand and operationalize implementation of value based and fee for service reimbursement models with excellence.This position requires a high degree of independence, initiative, collaboration, judgment, and follow-through on a wide range of sensitive and complex issues. The Director of Operations will also be responsible for compliance and meeting regulatory and accrediting requirements.

•Manage the daily operations and general management of the practices
•Promotes and maintains positive employee morale and a professional, effective, and efficient working atmosphere.
•Ability to manage, hire and train practice staff.Supervises and coaches office and clinical staff daily
•Evaluates direct reports' performance and provides appropriate guidance and feedback
•Recommends corrective action as required
•Develops action plans for each practice that needs to improve or maintain performance levels - examples could be but are not limited to GLINT, Physician engagement, Press Ganey, employee turnover, patient access, answering phones, Star ratings, financial performance, market growth etc
•Knowledge of healthcare finance including revenue cycle, expenses, and budgeting
•Responsible for development and implementation of budgeting and financial analysis of current performance.Provides input for future budgets and financial needs of all practices assigned.
•Oversees the daily/monthly expenditures, staffing and overtime hours
•Monitors and manages patient flow through the practices to ensure appropriate utilization of provider time and staff coverage
•Manages the flow of the clinic to insure compliance, efficiency and patient satisfaction.
•Maintains standards and consistency throughout all practices
•Assures compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and AHCA as well as maintaining proper licensure as needed per city and county
•Manages problem solving and addresses issues raised by physicians, APPs, employees, and patients.
•Deep knowledge of Electronic Health Records, their use in an ambulatory setting, and ability to train and implement
•Assists with developing and implementing market growth for the practices when needed.
•Responsible for ensuring all established policies are followed and carried out by the practices.
•Rounds regularly in assigned offices.Meets regularly with office staff to inform them of needs, developments and receive information from them regarding the operation of their practice.
•Meets monthly with physicians and APPs to discuss current issues, patient experience and financial performance of the practice.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
·Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field OR
·High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field
