The role you’ll contribute:
The Manager is a bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse who provides vision and strategic direction in conjunction with nursing leadership for professional development, clinical excellence, and Magnet recognition. The Manager sets strategic direction for the delivery of education, leadership and nursing staff development, nursing orientation and training, continuing education/continued competence and academic partnerships, in alignment with system education priorities. Collaborates with system education and leadership development to ensure effective and efficient use of educational resources. Accountable for the continuous quality improvement of nursing practice and professional development, aligned within the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Standards for Magnet and aligned within the Strategic Innovation Agenda (SIA) for AdventHealth.
The Manager follows all applicable nursing standards including the Florida Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators. The Manager adheres to, and is knowledgeable of, the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan, as well as the changing rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. The Manager actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts the privilege of maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The Manager is responsible for the daily operation of education activities for all campus Nurse Educators and their assigned responsibilities. Plans for nursing workforce on-boarding, orientation, training, in-service, and continuing education that is aligned with organizational needs and goals, compliant with regulatory standards and is evidence-based. Leads education deployment, coordination, compliance, and other assigned initiatives identified by campus leadership. Participates as required in recruitment and interviewing of staff. Evaluates training/role transition process based on health care trends, learning needs and organizational goals. Facilitates and evaluates activities related to career development and succession planning for assigned staff, in collaboration with unit/department leadership. Counsels assigned staff related to their career pathway. Utilizes principles of education, adult learning and, for nurses, bases all activities on the professional growth pathway of the Novice to Expert continuum. Maintains knowledge of national and local trends in nursing practice. Facilitates a supportive environment for academic partnership by ensuring appropriate student placement and a positive student experience within the unit/department. Supports operation of education team, including budget oversite and analysis. Support supply and equipment acquisition.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (if bachelor’s degree is not in Nursing, must have an MSN)
·Minimum of 2 years demonstrated leadership experience within nursing (ANM, Educator, or above)
·Minimum of 3 years of acute care clinical experience
·Current, valid State of Florida license as a registered professional nurse in good standing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Master’s degree
• Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager experience
• Training and/or experience in leading research/EBP and PI projects
Experience working with magnet hospitals
Experience with program management
Experience working with Pathways
Experience working with Multi-disciplinary team concepts
