The role you’ll contribute:
As member of the Executive Management team, the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation of strategies development and improvement of business operations. The AVP is responsible for divisional oversight of patient movement and throughput of the acute care inpatient, outpatient and behavioral health, patients while providing for seamless coordination with the Patient Logistics Command Center (PLCC), focusing on reducing transport delays in Emergency Departments, Inpatient units, and OSED’s. In the EMS Transport program, the AVP is responsible for divisional oversight of Aeromedical transport, ground transport, and Dispatch, while focusing on safe and timely transport of all patients. The AVP ensures that the vision and model is consistent with corporate and institutional priorities and meets all regulatory requirements within the Aeromedical and EMS ground transport programs. Maintains a comprehensive view of division-wide operations and outcomes of all performance elements. Administrative oversight and coordination of services of multiple disciplines across nursing, medical, care management, transportation and activities related to consistent standards of care. Proactive in minimizing risk and defines consistent, quality care indicators for the EMS transport programs for all campuses.
Responsibility for business development for division-wide service lines including close coordination with the PLCC, Bed Placement, EMS Transport, Dispatch and Staffing Resources for EMS. Promotes innovation and provides structure for consistent process improvement across the division as a result. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Bachelor's degree, particularly in a healthcare business, clinical science, or Industrial/Systems Engineering · Ten years (10) of experience working in a large EMS or hospital system with proven ability to gain trust. · Five (5) years in healthcare operations management and/or process improvement. · Extensive experience facilitating and managing challenging situations, including conflict resolution and demonstration of outstanding interpersonal skills · Experience in facilitating high-level multidisciplinary group decisions · Ten Years (10) Hospital Healthcare experience · Current Florida or Multi-State license Paramedic
