The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Daytona Beach
The role you’ll contribute: The primary function of the RN Outcome Coordinator is to oversee improvements related to publicly reported data and departmental initiatives within perioperative services. It also requires proficiency in collaboration and negotiating skills and acts as a resource and role model to team members. Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health /situation and unit specific data for process improvement initiatives.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Works with Director to manage agency/travelers and other contractual agreements which commits budgetary resources
Assists the Director with maintaining confidential employee/patient data in reference to research in pertinent in quality data.
Manages TracCore tissue tracking system
Assists with physician block schedules as directed by the Director.
Looks for opportunities to support, recognize and celebrate teamwork.
Collect interpret quality and efficiency measures and report findings/attend and support findings to the Director of Quality, Director of Surgical Services, Quality Committee, and the Surgical Committee/Department of Surgery, and Ortho governance Committee.
Collaborate with the quality department on Surgical Site infections with review, investigation, and processing of clinical events.
Performs other tasks and functions as assigned by Director of Surgical Services
Monitors, analyzes, and reports aggregated individual practitioner and department comparison clinical data for purposes on performance improvement and patient safety.
Create presentations for various hospital committees
Review returns to surgery cases and compare to National Standards
Serve as a leader within the department collaborating/coordinating activities
Confer with Medical Staff leaders in matters related to performance improvement/clinical review to involve them in identifying and resolving clinical issues.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Surgical Services min. experience 3 years
Cerner and or Epic platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer software
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Flexible in a complex and changing healthcare environment
Effective organizational skills
Teamwork principles
Ability to prioritize a diverse workload and possess the ability to work under pressure and deadlines
Knowledge of evidence-based practice programs
