As a Psychiatrist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medications for behavioral health and psychological disorders. This is an outpatient clinical environment where you will interact directly with patients.
This is a full-time, 1.0 position (40 hours/week) that offers the ability to flex your scheudle to meet your needs and the needs of the client. The position is based out of our office at 4753 N. Broadway in Chicago. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our office. Opportunities to occasionally work remotely from home doing telehealth sessions may be considered. This is a salaried position with quarterly bonus potential after six months of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform acute and long-term psychiatric care, including:
Assessments, diagnoses, treatment, and management of mental health conditions
Communicating condition information
Preventative care
Understanding patient medical history, current mental health status, serious mental illness symptoms, behavioral disorders, chronic disease, substance abuse, and other factors impacting mental health
Creating and updating treatment plans
Clinical documentation
Medication management
Medication administration
Patient monitoring
Psychotherapy
Crisis intervention
Promoting mental health awareness
Educating patient and families
Collaborating with healthcare professionals
Ordering and interpreting lab tests and diagnostic testing
Making referrals
Supervision

Required Qualifications:
M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
Active, unrestricted Psychiatrist license in the state of Illinois
Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license for prescribing controlled substances
Board-certified in Illinois by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of clinical experience treating adolescents and/or adults
Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation including MS Office Suite and Athena RMS or other EHRs
Knowledge of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
Knowledge of Spravato
Willingness and ability to be a collaborating physician with PMHNPs
