Job Title: Faculty Physician - Endocrinology (Assistant - Academic or Clinician Track)
The Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible Endocrinologist at the Assistant rank on an academic or clinician track. This position will provide clinical services to support the expansion of our Endocrinology services across the continuum of complexities. We are looking for an individual who will provide high-level patient-centered care aligning with the goals and objectives of the M Health Fairview organization to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Position Highlights:
In collaboration with the Endocrinology service line medical director and other leaders, will be responsible for oversight and organization of the Endocrinology care program within the clinic while keeping the continuum of care progression at the forefront.
In collaboration with administrative and clinical leaders, will be responsible to assure implementation of best practice clinical standards.
This position will join a network of 16 academic and two community Endocrinologists. There are also advanced practice providers working in community clinics throughout the system.
This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) that will provide patient care in an outpatient clinical setting (0.85 cFTE) and 3-4 weeks/year of inpatient consult services at the University of Minnesota Medical Center; 15% academic/education (teaching and training of fellows, medicine residents and medical school students).
The position will practice at the M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis (1-2 days/week) and an M Health Fairview community clinic site (2-3 days/week).
Provide a full spectrum of care including diagnosis and management of diabetes and osteoporosis as well as disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and parathyroid glands.
Opportunity to collaborate with other Endocrinology colleagues within the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota.
Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
Assess patient health, order, interpret, and monitor diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
Attend leadership meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship training program.
Board certified by the ABIM in Internal Medicine, and board eligible/board certified by the ABIM in Endocrinology.
Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.
Pay and Benefits:
This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $184,919 - $254,826 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
