Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Baltimore, MD!
Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) by Labcorp creates clarity for patients with cancer and their clinicians by removing barriers to precision oncology testing in order to make timely, personalized cancer treatments a reality for all.
We unlock a deeper understanding of tumor biology to drive biomarker-informed treatment plans by enabling in-house tumor profiling with our portfolio of RUO and IVD tissue, liquid biopsy-based genomic products, and robust bioinformatics because all patients deserve a chance to lead their best lives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Laboratory Equipment
Schedule, track and perform periodic laboratory equipment maintenance.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and malfunctions with manufacturers and facilitate repairs.
Assist with Quality Assurance investigations and documentation according to department-specific SOP?s.
Facilities
Manage assigned administrative contracts and maintain associated records.
Schedule service and serve as point of contact for assigned onsite vendors and contractors.
Monitor and answer PGDx by Labcorp phone and call boxes.
General Laboratory
Custom project assistance as necessary.
Collaborate on Quality Assurance and Finance initiatives as it pertains to job function.
Respond to off-hours cold storage alarms or other emergencies on a rotational basis.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Associates degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science (Bachelor preferred)
0.5-2 years? experience in a CLIA or GMP laboratory setting
Basic pipetting skills
Familiarity with BSL-2 Universal Laboratory Precautions, laboratory safety and quality standards
Pay Range: $22/hr - $26/hr
All job offers will be based on a candidate?s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
