Overview:
32 hrs/wk; Variable hours. Day time hours with flexibility to adjust for patient and support group needs. Works at both Hospital main campus and Home Health/Hospice. Works collaboratively with members of the patient care team to provide pastoral/spiritual care for patients, their loved ones, and the healthcare staff, including Hospice patients. Assist in providing, organizing and implementing a comprehensive program of spiritual care. Bachelor’s degree in divinity, theology, religious studies or a related field required. Completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units at a medical center accredited by the Association for CPE- one unit require, four preferred. 2 years as a chaplain or spiritual counselor required. Ordination, endorsement, or reference from a denomination or faith group required. Certification as a chaplain preferred.

Our 50-bed acute care hospital is certified for swing beds with an
additional 15 ambulatory outpatient beds. Established in 1972 by
the merger of St. Mary’s Hospital and Behlen Memorial Hospital,
this not-for-profit hospital is governed by a local board of directors.
We are licensed by the Nebraska State Board of Health and
accredited by the Joint Commission.
