The role you'll contribute:
The Director of Nurse Practice and Transformation is responsible for the evaluation and improvement of nursing practice, education, culture, and retention, for the Central Florida – South Division. In addition, this leader will work in partnership with other key service line programs and leadership that are integral in the delivery of patient care. This leader will direct strategies based on an analysis of industry and organizational data and trends to lead initiatives to improve our nursing care delivery model, nurse retention and provide leadership in the communication and implementation of organizational goals as needed. The Director will remain constantly in touch with nurse and physician experience issues and campus initiatives. The Director provides leadership in the delivery of care and nursing practice both at the campus and regional level. The Director displays high level of emotional intelligence while interacting with staff contributing to the development of programs that enhance nursing culture. The Director collaborates as needed with all levels of clinical staff, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders. The Director promotes an environment that is open, respectful, and promotes the sharing of expertise to promote positive outcomes. The Director develops both unit-based and system-level activities that support the elements of extending excellence. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Responsible for understanding and the evaluation of innovative models of care delivery and facilitating strategic planning to support growth and develop of program builds
Works collaboratively with other program models and their leadership to develop processes and accountability flows that drive exceptional clinical outcomes
Accountable to analyze trends in performance and makes appropriate adjustments to facilitate outcomes that accelerates the achievement of the overall goals of the organization
Analyze market trends and organizational data to develop strategic plans to improve nurse retention and clinical culture.
Analyzes and appropriately responds to academic and/or community changes or opportunities for collaboration related to nursing workforce.
Collaborates with all campus Administrators, Chief Nursing Officers (CNO), Chief Medical Officers (CMO) and other applicable Medical Directors to identify, implement and evaluate process and practices related to scope of role.
Gather information regarding retention and experience strategies from all levels of the organization, including frontline staff.
Adhere to all state and federal regulations in scope of work
Create and maintain operating and capital budgets as they pertain to scope of responsibility
Accountable for the strategic direction, quality, performance improvement and system directed initiatives for nurse retention, nurse/physician experience, and culture-related improvement activities
Collaborates with all campus Administrators, Chief Nursing Officers (CNO), Chief Medical Officers (CMO) and other applicable Medical Directors to identify, implement and evaluate process and practices related to scope of role.
Actively leads, develops and participates in performance improvement activities related to nurse practice, education, nurse retention, and nurse/physician experience.
Gather information regarding retention and experience strategies from all levels of the organization, including frontline staff.
Oversight of tracking and trending of nursing quality indicators
Analyzes and appropriately responds to academic and/or community changes or opportunities for collaboration related to nursing workforce.
Analyze and facilitate standardization of nursing workforce as it relates to labor standards.
Actively participates in nursing workforce budget planning at the campus and regional level

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare leadership
Magnet and/or Pathways Experience
Shared Leadership Experience
Professional Governance Experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS PREFERRED:
Change management training
Knowledge of nursing practice in both the healthcare industry and within the organization
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
National certification in nursing specialty
