We are currently recruiting for a Lab Analyst within our Metabolism department at our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
As a Lab Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the day to day laboratory execution on a variety of Metabolism studies in order to investigate the fate and behaviour of radiolabelled and non-radiolabelled test compounds in in vitro systems.
The scope of responsibilities include study planning and study set up, preparing formulations, performing in vitro incubations (e.g. plasma protein binding, blood cell partitioning), cell culture and sample analysis. You will be responsible for delivery of data to the Study Director.
Duties are to:
Develop competent basic laboratory skills
Set up and perform appropriate assays based on the study protocol and in conjunction with the study team
Participate in study protocol reviews
Participate in study meetings (ie pre-initiation meeting)
Maintain study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines
Review own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment
Deliver results within agreed timeframe
Maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment and performs routine maintenance

Education:
BSc minimum, preferable in Life Sciences subject. Experience may be substituted for education
Skills / Experience:
Experience in a laboratory setting either in industry or from studies
Cell culture or PCR knowledge is advantageous
Ability to quickly learn new tasks and methodologies
Excellent attention to detail paired with strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
