- APP to work collaboratively with Interventional Cardiology Service. Responsibilities include facilitation and management of pre and post procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac catheritizations, percutaneous interventions, structural heart procedures and cath lab-based research protocols.
- Responsible for procedural quality improvement initiatives, including departmental initiatives, registries, and participation in multidisciplinary treatment conferences.

Role Purpose
The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working in a multidisciplinary health team to provide care to patients and families across subspecialty practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise with acute and chronic illnesses encountered within the inpatient and outpatient subspecialty settings. The role demonstrates an advanced level of clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, and systems-based practice. They work with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical trainees to assure safe, effective, quality patient care.Minimum Board Certification(s):BJH: Adult-Gerontology Primary Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Preferred Board Certification(s):SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC)
Responsibilities

- Provides patient- and family-centered care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for health recovery, illness prevention, disease treatment, or end-of-life care.
- Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for subspecialty patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
