Missouri Baptist Medical Center & BJC Health System are looking for a General Anesthesiologist to join their growing, hospital-based practice! Located in the heart of West County, Saint Louis this physician will work in 23 ORs supporting acute surgeries, a very busy GI Lab, 1 endo suite, Women's Outpatient Center, Interventional Pulmonology, Ortho (including total joints), Gynecology, ENT, eyes, Neuro spine, Ortho spine, some Craniotomies, vascular, CCL (where CT Surgeon not needed). No trauma and will not cover L&D or CTOR.

Joining 10+ other anesthesiologists within hospital group
Adult patient population primarily, some peds
Shared call with group; averaging 1 weekend a month & 1 weekday a week
Oversight of CRNAs
6-week schedules; 45-days of non-productive time + holidays
Annual time & comp for CME

Role Purpose
Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.
