The role you’ll contribute:
To utilize the nursing process in the direction and administration of the Obstetrical, or Newborn plan of care as appropriate. This performance is in compliance with established structure, standards, process standards and protocols under the supervision of the Nursing Director, Nurse Manager, Clinical Leader or ADON.
The Registered Nurse will ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care as defined by AdventHealth standards of nursing care, and is consistent with the therapies of other disciplines

·Formulates, implements and evaluates an individualized plan of care for each patient, based on identified needs/problems, in collaboration with the patient/significant others.
oProvides all aspects of therapeutic nursing care, based on established standards.Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served:
§Neonate
§Adolescent
§Adult
oPhysically assesses each patient and identifies needs/problems within the time frame established in nursing standards and protocols.
oEstablished and prioritizes nursing diagnoses for all patients, based on initial assessment data.
·Assures the accurate processing of physicians' orders, including but not limited to:
oDocumentation of all verbal and telephone orders on the Physicians' Order Sheet, indicating the date and time received.
oDocumentation of the accurate processing of physicians' orders with signature, date and time.
·Assures the documentation of the patient's response to nursing plan of care in all areas of the medical record, in compliance with established nursing standards and protocols.
oEnsures that documentation is concise, legible and completed prior to the end of the shift.
oCorrects errors in documentation according to established nursing policy.
Minimum qualifications:
oActive Florida R.N. license required
oBasic Life Support (BLS)
oAdvanced Life Support (ACLS)
oNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR)
oNursey experience required
Preferred qualifications:
oBSN or Bachelor in Healthcare related field
oMSN or Masters in Healthcare related field
