The role you’ll contribute:
The Research IS Coordinator interacts and communicates appropriately with AHRI leadership and team members to provide technological support as well as accurate and timely information. Provides accurate and timely support service of specified network and hardware systems with AdventHealth Research Institute (AHRI) and is compliant with the defined Adventist Information Technology (AIT) standards. The Research IS Coordinator coordinates the implementation of the 'off the shelf' software applications and related hardware and manages the on-going maintenance of such systems. Troubleshoots network and software problems in a timely manner and escalates encountered situations to responsible areawith detailed and accurate information, contributing to the efficient function of the department. Under the supervision of the Manager Research Administration the Research IS Coordinator manages system access and general technology purchases, staying within budget guidelines as directed. Adheres to all AdventHealth corporate compliance plans, rules and guidelines as listed with partners and sponsors, in regards to software and applications. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Research Institute departments in a timely manner, to ensure optimum work flow. Works closely with appropriate counterparts and end users to ensure such outcome.
• Facilitates the successful and efficient integration of new Research Institute employees by ensuring that they have the necessary computer and technological equipment and applications/platforms needed to complete their daily work responsibilities duties.
• Responsible for requesting, supporting, modifying and terminating all levels of computer access for Research Institute personnel by coordinating the onboarding and termination processes with the research hiring manager.
• Coordinates the implementation, and manages the on-going maintenance of commercially available software applications and related hardware. Collabroates with AIT and third party software vendors to efficiently manage deployment and maintain applications.
• Solves software and hardware problems via the phone or in person in an efficient and professional manner. Effectively prepares and present educational documentation of assigned network, hardware or software systems to enhance the knowledge of team members• Maintains an orderly internal inventory list of supported software and coordinates license expansion and renewals with AIT. Ensures that all licensing is renewed timely for both AdventHealth and non-AdventHealth supported systems.
• Maintains an orderly internal inventory of computer and technological equipment, as purchased by each specific Research Department. Responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained on the AdventHealth network and when applicable, work with AIT to clean/clear devices for use by other team members.
• Manages an AHRI internal loaner computer and technological equipment program to ensure that team members have the necessary equipment needed to fulfill their daily responsibilities, updating tracking system daily.
• Facilitates internal communications by updating research specific email distribution and communication lists and ensuring access to appropriate research department Outlook calendars.
• Manages and maintains excellent customer relationships with moderate input from AHRI leadership. Enhances relationships with various AdventHealth departments as well as AHRI partners, sponsors and vendors, ensuring a professional and amicable relationship by appropriately communicating AHRI needs.
Minimum qualifications:
High School Grad or Equiv and 4 years experience
Four years of experience in office/secretarial/IT support work
Preferred qualifications:
Associate's degree in IT related field with two years of experience in office/secretarial/IT support work
Bachelor's degree in IT related field and work experience relevant to duties
Experience working with Florida Hospital IT systems
