The community you’ll be caring for:
Our newest hospital in the Kansas City metro area — AdventHealth Lenexa City Center — will include around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services and inpatient beds for medical-surgical and short-stay units.
The new campus will include:
244,000 square feet
Capacity for 98 total beds (44 on opening and 54 slated for future expansion)
Four operating rooms (two upon opening and two slated for future dates)
Manages daily operations and develops, implements, and monitors plans for patient care services in the imaging department.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
•Maintains established productivity standards and supply expense metrics. Accountable for monthly departmental variances, budget, FTE, and expense variance reports/associated action plans •Plans and implements overall imaging policies, procedures, and services for aligned departments •Assesses patient care quality and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments •Manages staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Oversees scheduling, recruitment, hiring, firing, payroll, and student engagements •Attends, leads, facilitates staff and other meetings as determined by director •Ensures ongoing compliance with accrediting bodies, and federal, state, and local agencies •Oversees contracts and vendor relations •Supports the Director in developing and implementing strategic plans for all aspects of assigned department operations with focus on OP Imaging. Meets market goals by achieving budgeted OP volume targets where applicable •Assist with annual ACR accreditation if applicable to facility •Maintains departmental Joint Commission, other regulatory agency, survey readiness •Consistent documented employee rounding to ensure adherence to service standards •Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED: •Ability to interact effectively with patients and families who may be under physical and/or emotional stress •Ability to acquire and effectively apply knowledge relating to imaging processes, techniques, and procedures, in addition to basic business analysis •Ability to demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to diverse roles as a member of the department and leadership team •Up-to-date knowledge of hazards within the department, such as ionizing radiation and universal precautions to adhere to safety standards established by the hospital and regulatory agencies •Annual planning – budgets, projects experience ·Prior success working with teams/managing people ·Performance improvement experience •Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure information quality •Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English •Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: •Imaging management experience •Experience working with physicians •Formal project management experience •Clinical experience within Imaging
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Associate and 2 years experience 1 years Leadership Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: •Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associates degree AND Two years of technical experience AND Must be working towards obtaining Bachelor's degree in accordance with facility policy •One year of leadership/management experience
PREFERRED: •Three years of leadership/management technical experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists OR • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
OR • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
OR • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
OR • Amer Reg Diag Med Sonography
OR • Certified Radiologic Tech
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION: REQUIRED: •Basic Life Support (BLS) certification •Must be certified as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or (RDMS) or (CNMT) ••Must hold state license where applicable (For Registered Sonographer-Kansas license not applicable)
PREFERRED: •Equivalent professional certification •Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES •Manages imaging department staff
