Job Summary
This position supports the implementation and maintenance of applications used in accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and other finance areas as assigned. The position establishes data accuracy and validity, compiles data from multiple source systems, prepares and distributes routine and ad hoc reports to both internal and external users, and educates users on how to interpret reports. The position analyzes, interprets and facilitates the use of data and reports to support decision making, identifies opportunities for improvement, and presents findings to all levels of the organization. The position also works closely with Business Intelligence and Decision Support to run and analyze data. This position also oversees the maintenance of the Financial Data Model (FDM) including cost center, spend category, ledger account hierarchy, accounting department security matrix, and all accounting business processes as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field
Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years experience in finance and/or decision support required.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Supports the implementation and maintenance of decision support applications including budgeting, decision support, capital tracking, labor productivity and benchmarking. Develops, maintains and follows project plans and standard work for maintaining applications. Gathers and loads data into applications, maintains system setups and tables, validates data, publishes and distributes reports including the submission of data to external parties. Provides education and training on the use of applications. Adheres to and develops standard procedures for maintaining applications and the performance of audit and control procedures to assure the integrity of data. Maintains an understanding of source data systems (payroll, G/L, EMR) and collaborates with others to obtain necessary data extracts and elements. Engages in decision-making where changes in processes will have data and/or reporting implications. Researches and develops data that will support management decisions and strategic planning.
Analyzes and organizes data from multiple sources and synthesizes results into meaningful reports and presentations. Provides analyses and interpretation of information to support decision making (service line analyses, financial profiles, benchmarking, performance improvement, etc.) Develops metrics, measures, reports, and dashboards to support key stakeholder and customer group needs. Presents analyses, results, conclusions and recommendations to key stakeholder(s) as appropriate.
Verifies and analyzes comparative databases containing operational and clinical data to support benchmarking efforts and to support planning and operational decisions.
Produces financial and statistical reports for internal and external reporting purposes.
Conducts data analysis for various projects as assigned.
Collaborates with clinical leaders/partners on key Stewardships initiatives aimed at improving quality & cost outcomes.
