Dartmouth Health is looking for an academic palliative care physician to join our palliative care team at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. Our highly skilled team is comprised of physicians, APPs, RNs, chaplains, and social workers, among others, and boasts an interprofessional fellowship. This position will provide care as part of the outpatient team at the academic medical center.

Clinical responsibilities and expectations:
Provide continuity care to seriously ill patients at our outpatient clinic, on our main Lebanon campus, and via telehealth
Partner with our skilled, compassionate interprofessional outpatient team: scheduler, full-time licensed clinical social worker, 2 full-time nurses, pharmacist, and 5 physicians
Clinic schedule is flexible with non-clinical time provided for academic and clinical program development work

We’re looking for someone who is:
An excellent communicator
Skilled at symptom management for seriously ill patients
Experienced providing outpatient palliative care (in fellowship or beyond)
Passionate about teaching and mentoring others
A strong team player
Effective at collaborating with different disciplines and professions
BC/BE in palliative medicine by the ABMS or AOA
Able to obtain/maintain a medical license in NH and VT and a federal DEA license
