Schedule: Remote Position, Monday through Friday 3pm - 11:30pm. On-Call Rotations Saturday's and Holidays.
Shift: Remote Evenings - However, for training, will be in-person for several weeks at the Center for Diagnostic Pathology (CDP) Hours of 8a-4:30pm.
Location: Remote and for Training > 2855 N. Orange Ave. Orlando FL 32804. After training will stay Full Remote.

The role you’ll contribute:
The Pathology Transcriptionist I performs transcription activities in support of the pathologists, pathologists' assistant, and pathology department; as well as including some clerical and/or related secretarial duties. The position requires exercise of judgement under supervision. Work involves theoretical and/or practical knowledge in various medical and laboratory operations and support functions, as well as general office support activities. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
•Performs accurate transcription of recorded medical dictation into designated report format, as needed to support Pathologists, Pathologists' Assistants and selected individual laboratory departments •Performs assigned activities related to the department including inventory control, general equipment and space maintenance, receptionist/clerical tasks which may include general word processing (typing), filing, distribution of interoffice memos, mail, scanning, and faxing •Supports cross departmental partnerships and communication amongst Pathologists, Pathologists' Assistants, hospital staff and clients taking immediate steps to correct, follow through and report any mistakes or errors to department manager •Provides resolution to customer service issues within guidelines •Attends and participates in scheduled department and committee meetings as assigned •Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
•Completion of medical transcription program with certificate eligibility OR One year of experience in medical dictation transcription •Medical Terminology training •High School Diploma or GED
