JOB SUMMARY
The Neurodiagnostic Manager is accountable for overseeing the Neurodiagnostic section. This includes managing staffing, work assignments, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, orientation, and professional development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Coordinates policies and procedures, goals, priorities, and activities for neurodiagnostic services. Makes sure services are delivered smoothly and efficiently with high quality.
Accountable for regularly evaluating service quality and partnering with management to ensure customer satisfaction and address customer issues.
Works closely with management and Human Resources to meet staffing needs. This includes tasks such as interviewing, hiring, counseling, conducting performance reviews, and handling terminations. Also accountable for orienting new staff members when needed.
Ensures staff and patient safety by overseeing training and monitoring compliance with health and safety policies. Provides proper equipment training to staff and patients.
Maintains relationships with different departments and teams to gather and share information, coordinates services, ensures smooth flow of information, participates in planning, conducts training, and resolves issues.
Keeps knowledge about neurodiagnostic, healthcare, and management current by reading current literature and gaining other educational experiences.
Accountable for overseeing the finances of the assigned site and department, including the budgeting process. Establishes the financial needs for the organization and analyzes changes in the budget and how expenses are allocated.
The employee in this role helps and offers expertise to the supervised staff. They establish quality and quantity standards for work, track the output, give guidance for improvement, identify chances for streamlined processes, and make necessary changes.
Implements important safety practices based on evidence to ensure top quality and patient safety in the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory.
Partners with leaders and clinical team to arrange, create, and present reports about the quality of neurodiagnostic procedures and efforts to ensure patient safety.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
The job requires knowledge neuroanatomy and physiology, knowing about neurodiagnostic tools, recognizing patterns, and knowledge medical and pharmacological conditions that affect neurodiagnostic recording.
Ability to evaluate how work is done and establish standards for quality and productivity. This includes setting measurable goals for employees and project teams.
The need to efficiently allocate resources to meet deadlines and priorities using a broader perspective.
Ability to make or approve effective hiring and termination conclusions.
Ability to review and suggest changes to policies and create procedures that impact the organization being managed.
Basic knowledge of business practices, including annual planning and goal setting, staying within budgets, employee compensation, and following rules and managing risks.
Basic computer skills required, such as Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.
Ability to assess and suggest modifications to rules and create guidelines that impact the organization being managed.

EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS)
ASET - Long term Monitoring (CLTM), ASET-Neurophysio Intra Monitor (CNIM), Cert Polysomnographic Tech (CPSGT), ASET-Reg in Evoked Potentials (R EP T), ASET-Reg Nerve Conduction (R.NCS.T), Reg Of Electroencephalographic (REEGT), Reg Polysomnographic Tech (RPSGT): Must have one of the following: -CLTM -CNIM -CPSGT -REEGT -REPT -R.NCS.T -RPSGT The following certs (CLTM, CNIM, CPSGT, or REPT) must be from ABRET.
