Seeking a Gastroenterologist to care for veterans in NC!
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Gastroenterologist who possesses diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound skills in the management of patients with G.I. diseases, including FNA cytology and biopsy, drainage of pancreatic cyst and bile duct obstruction, and expertise in cancer management including staging of esophageal and rectal cancer.
We are seeking a candidate for a position in Kernersville, NC, with the exciting opportunity to oversee operations as a Site Director. This role includes travel between our Kernersville and Salisbury markets (negotiable) and offers a competitive salary and dedicated administrative time associated with the Site Director title.
Practice Environment: Kernersville, NC currently has 3 GI doctors who come on certain days who scope and see the clinic, and two surgeons who only do colonoscopies scope and do clinics. There are also two Physician Assistants located in Kernersville. Our facility utilizes 190 Olympus scopes and provides anesthesia on select days to support a comprehensive range of general gastrointestinal (GI) procedures.
Research Opportunity: Research can be explored for an appointment at WFBH. Fellows are not circulating in Kernersville currently. There are four fellows per year in Salisbury, NC.

Call Schedule: There is no call at Kernersville. It is an HCC. Can take calls at Salisbury VA Medical Center one day a week.

Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible.
