Physician (Primary Care) – Port Angeles VA Clinic – Port Angeles, WA
Position Information:
The Veterans Health Care System, Puget Sound, is seeking full-time board certified/board eligible Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physicians to join our Primary Care Health Team. The primary care provider will function as a highly skilled, independent care provider in the management of patients, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary care team with access to state-of-the-art medicine and some of the most advanced medical technologies available.
The Health Care Clinic operates under a PACT Model (Patient Aligned Care Team). Together with his or her team, comprised of a PCP, RN, LPN, and a Medical Support Assistant, the PCP cares for a panel of approximately 900 patients. The PACT provides comprehensive care for our Veteran population, including the diagnoses, care, and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. Common diagnoses encountered include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain. Position is Monday thru Friday, no weekends, and no holidays.

The Veterans Health Care System, Puget Sound (VHAPUG), located in Seattle Washington, with a sub-division at the American Lake Division Tacoma, WA. is part of VA Northwest (VISN20), comprised two main Medical Centers and thirteen community clinics, spread out the great state of Washington. The American Lake Division is one of the largest VA Medical Centers for out-patient medical care, and new state of the art community living center for Veterans.

It is connected to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, which is located 18 miles (29 km) to the north via ferry. Port Townsend, Washington, is only 47 miles (76 km) away from Port Angeles, while Sequim, Washington, is only 17 miles (27.36 km) east of Port Angeles. Fifty-nine miles (95 km) from Port Angeles, on the Hood Canal side, is the town of Brinnon.

The expected range of annual salary is $240,000 to $260,000 and includes biennial longevity pay increases.
Physician staff may be considered for an annual performance pay bonus up to $15,000.00 or 7.5% (whichever is less)
