Summary:

The Director of Operations and Maintenance at OnVida Health; plans, directs and manages and oversees all aspects of the Facility Maintenance programs at the Medical Center including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and all General Maintenance work performed at the facility. Also has oversite for the management and tracking of all Maintenance and Operational systems to ensure efficiency and reliability of systems to perform as expected. Management of the Work Order system and monitoring workflows of staff to ensure Hospital Facility Systems are fully reliable and available for the needs of the facility. Also providing repair and maintenance activities necessary to ensure continuous and safe efficient operations of all main Hospital Campus facilities, Ambulatory and Off-site locations associated with the medical center.

Responsibilities:

Planning/Vision

Provides vision, forward thinking and strategic planning in a proactive manner while being open-minded and creative in establishing a strategic direction; develops through an integration of ideas of those involved, an organized strategy to achieve both short and long term objectives for the department; effectively communicates strategy to obtain commitment by the responsible individuals; leads the strategic planning process for the respective department; ensures plans and objectives are integrated within the plans of the medical center; works with others in leadership as well as physicians to identify and evaluate programs and emerging technologies.

Fiscal Management

Demonstrates a personal accountability for financial results through development of an annual budget and operational plan and management of performance based on plan; engages staff in efforts to contain costs and improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of services; understands the basics of health care financial management; establishes budget targets for department, provides oversight for the process, and holds self and other individuals accountable for compliance with annual budget plan; identifies program or service growth opportunities and methodologies to enhance revenues; manages to a volume adjusted budget.
