The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Content & Multimedia Strategist to assist in the amplification of our vision, mission, and impact across the community. The ideal candidate joining our integrated strategic communications and events team will be curious and creative. The selected candidate will complement our collaborative nature, strengthen our digital communications, and help our donors enrich lives, save lives, and transform health care.
The successful candidate possesses a keen understanding of all forms of digital media and will be responsible for helping align and synchronize messages across our communications channels. This potential teammate will collaborate with strategic communications to assist in the development, execution, and promotion of the content strategy, including video, writing, and photography assignments.
Hybrid position, must reside in the Greater St. Louis area.

Role Purpose
The Content Strategist II is a strategic and creative storyteller who helps develop and distribute content across all BJC channels– including web, digital, newsletters, advertising, printed materials and social media. This person will excel at enhancing different content formats into engaging, easy-to-digest, interactive and visual content to maximize BJC audience’s content experiences, reaching the right audiences on the appropriate channels. This person will help develop and adhere to a content framework that reaches BJC’s critical audience segments - patients, families, physicians, staff, donors, lawmakers, the business community and the general public. The successful candidate possesses a keen understanding of all forms of media and will be responsible for helping align and synchronize messages across a cohesive and comprehensive distribution strategy.
Responsibilities
Helps execute an evergreen and agile content calendar that maps to business objectives, key initiatives, announcements and events; Operates with swift flexibility in a dynamic news environment.
Adapts content across all appropriate media, using best practices on format, style, length, angle and other unique characteristics of each channel; customizes content for audience segments.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a critical thinker, and excel at time management and prioritization.
Collaborates with content partners within MarComm – digital, marketing, operations, public relations, social media, creative services, content development, internal comms – to drive BJC’s content strategy across the organizations.
Works with Content Strategy colleagues to identify compelling and strategic storytelling opportunities that support marketing objectives and calls to action, work with creative, comms and operations teams to execute.
