SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Vice President for Perioperative Services and the perioperative governance committee, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring strategies and tactics designed to promote efficient and cost-effective clinical support and business support functions within Perioperative Services. Directs critical perioperative clinical support functions, including the services provided by perioperative aides and anesthesia technicians. Develops the operating room block management program and manages the team of surgical case schedulers. Oversees all perioperative vendor relationships. Oversees all financial planning, budgeting, and patient charging for the $780 million revenue business. Directs equipment planning, program and new technology planning, and requests for new supply additions to inventory. The position is also responsible for developing and maintaining a robust data analytics function, including a process of reporting key operational and financial data to the perioperative governance committee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Master's Degree in business or health care.
Seven (7) years of related experience required.
Five (5) years of management experience required.
