The community you’ll be caring for:AdventHealth Tampa
· AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, known across the country for its advances in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research. · Surgical Pioneers – the first in Tampa with the latest robotics in spine surgery · Building a brand new, six story surgical and patient care tower which will ensure state of the art medical and surgical car for generations to come · Awarded the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke GOLD Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and have been recognized as a recipient of their Target: Stroke Honor Roll for our expertise in stroke care. We have also received certification by The Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Stroke Association as a Primary Stroke Center.
The role you’ll contribute:
Performs quality EEG recordings. Has the ability to scan and correlate study information.Facilitates all aspects of study completion and reporting. Is knowledgeable in and carries out all applicable processes of the department. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Participates in the facility performance improvement program. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Performs studies with appropriate documentation, observes patients, troubleshoots equipment and physiological artifacts, and utilizes appropriate resources ·Evaluates recorded diagnostic data and reports abnormal findings to nurses and physicians ·Recognizes and takes appropriate actions to respond to evolving patient care needs ·Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as requested ·Maintains diagnostic testing equipment and supplies ·Monitors patients in Epilepsy Monitoring Units (EMUs), while adhering to protocols and procedures ·Maintains accurate archive and retrieval systems for original EEG tracings ·Attends monthly staff meetings ·Attends other meetings as requested ·Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·High School Education or equivalent ·One year of technical experience or pass Competency Assessment ·Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
