Manages the strategic, financial, operational and business development of Ambulatory Care Services (ACS). Has administrative oversight and management of specific areas and/or projects assigned. Serves as a liaison to various departments for day-to-day and long-term operations, including financial management specific to assigned operations. Analyzes and evaluates service for quality improvement including clinic flow, productivity, strategic planning, management of budgets, development of performance standards and for working with internal and community partners on various initiatives. Conducts process improvement projects and develops performance standards for direct reports and other ACS staff. Develops existing team members, creates and improves existing processes and methodology, while providing leadership, coaching, and team building. Leads multidisciplinary teams dedicated to managing and supporting deployment and professional services across large enterprise customers. Collaborates with nursing leadership, ambulatory leadership, Medical Group leadership, community members and other key partners.
Essential Functions:
Operational: ? Drives teams to meet or exceed goals by providing superior cross-functional leadership and management. ? Facilitating issue resolution, problem-solving, risk management, and contingency planning. Drives decision-making. ? Creates operating efficiencies by evaluating end to end processes and making recommendations based on findings. ? Drives operational initiatives while using visual management to measure change in metrics. ? Directs, monitors and improves clinic processes. ? Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) designed to promote optimal success and efficiency. (30%)
Administrative: ? Develops and reviews, on a regular basis, project plans to make sure progress is being made on initiatives. ? Manages contracts and contract relationships with customers/clients and vendors. ? Assesses quality of services regularly according to prescribed quality assessment methods and ensures those services are continuously improved. (25%)
Committee Participation/Collaboration: ? Engaged in marketing to internal and external clients, customers and stakeholder partners. ? Serves as the division liaison for customers and stakeholders. Working closely to maintain and enhance the relationship with all partners. (20%)
Leadership: ? Lead integrated teams of project managers and other clinical and non-clinical professionals. ? Attends and participates in professional workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current changes in the field. ? Responsible for strategic planning, business plan development, pursuit of new opportunities, forecasting and goal setting. ? Assists with developing annual operational and capital budgets and ensures that the department operates within prescribed budgetary parameters. (25%)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field Required
Master's Degree preferred
Work Experience:
7-9 years Typically, seven years of professional experience in healthcare administration. Related experience in ambulatory administration, project management, operations management, business development, budget development, financial and operational modeling/forecasting preferred. Required
Licenses:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
Highly skilled in budget preparation/financial analysis, decision making regarding operational metrics, assist with research design planning, and analyzing and generating quality improvement reports.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other internal and external team members to ensure timelines are met.
Ability to act as a resource to staff for operational and administrative questions.
Able to effectively recruit, develop, and retain staff.
Knowledge of personnel management, management of budgets, strategic planning involving collaboration with outside agencies (city and state) or other business entities.
Ability to communicate and maintain effective relationships with staff, administration, and other departments.
Knowledge and problem solving process.
Extraordinary emotional intelligence and quotient, professional communications, interpersonal skills and ability to build genuine trust relationships throughout the organization and beyond.
Able to lead, manage, advise, mentor, direct and evaluate employees with grace, fairness, and accountability.
Requires strong organizational skills to set priorities and ability to work with high degree of accuracy and attention to details while responding to tight deadlines and multiple priorities and demands.
Knowledge, experience, passion, understanding and acumen for Lean, employee engagement initiatives, culture change, data-driven decision-making, and leadership management system.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
