Summary:
The Senior Human Resource Specialist is responsible for performing HR related duties and works closely with the HR Business Partner Manager in supporting designated entities. This role is responsible for providing support for core human resources areas including coordinating with HR COEs. As a Senior Human Resource Specialist, this role is responsible for partnering with teammates and leaders across the organization to provide overall support regarding teammate initiatives.

This position is based at UNC Health Caldwell and requires to be on-site.
Responsibilities: 1. HR Consulting: Serves in a role to assist senior level HR Business Partners with day-to-day HR operations. Investigates and resolves routine HR issues. Researches more complex HR issues and works with HR Business Partners to develop a plan to resolve. 2. Administrative Support: Provides on-going support to HR Business Partners. Monitors and manages the HR functions of assigned areas and alerts HR Business Partners with issues arise. Shares HR communications with teammates as needed to ensure they are aware of HR programs and deadlines. 3. Communication & Collaboration: Provides assistance to employees, managers and other Health Care System customers relative to HR data information and issues. Collaborates with HR COEs to research and resolve HR issues. Assists employees on-site with HR questions to include assistance with benefits questions and completing HR forms. Builds relationships with entity leaders to determine their HR needs and advises leaders as needed on potential concerns. 4. Program & Project Support: Provides personalized, in person orientation for new hires. Manages other HR programs and projects at assigned entities in any specialized area of HR. May be responsible for overseeing a program or project in a specialized area of human resources. Performs tasks to support the assigned area at the direction of a senior HR staff member.

Other information: Education Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ? No licensure or certification required. Professional Experience Requirements: ? If Bachelor's degree - Two (2) years of relevant HR experience. ? If Associate's degree - Six (6) years of relevant HR experience. ? If a High School diploma or GED: Ten (10) years of relevant experience. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ? Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain high level of accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Commitment to confidentiality. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
