The role you’ll contribute:
The employee is responsible for maintenance support services within the Facilities Management Department. Responsibilities include coordination of electrical work, irrigation repairs, and plumbing and manages the subcontractors related to those repairs. The position requires some heavy lifting and some basic and common sense knowledge of basic maintenance principles. Requires call time and overtime as well as occasional work on weekends and holidays. . The position requires some heavy lifting

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SUPPORT:
Serves as primary point of contact for Tri-City, working closely with the lead technician and the manager on all electrical repairs and issues. Manages work of electrical and other subcontractors.
Handles work orders as assigned by lead technician and manager in a timely manner and with accuracy. Reports to manager regarding actions taken. Provides written report of work accomplished daily at the end of the day addressed to Facilities manager with copy to Director. Assists with conducting periodic rounds of the premises to discover areas that may need attention. Reports any issues to the Manager.
Monitors the irrigation system and the Fountains on the campus and reports issues to the manager for resolution.
Has primary responsibility for plumbing issues on campus and for interacting with Modern Plumbing. Handles all plumbing issues on a timely basis in consultation with the manager.
Serves as main point of contact for TWC and requests service for Café equipment and ice machines. Meets with technician when onsite, communicates any special instructions and monitor's workEMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND SECURITY:
Is knowledgeable regarding emergency preparedness and security procedures.
Responds to an emergency immediately with calm demeanor and calls authorities as necessary.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma and some college classes. Required
Experience is beneficial, (but not required) in this position due to the necessity for self-direction and independent action.
Knowledge and ability to learn the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of basic maintenance.
Able to problem solve and trouble-shoot.
