The role you’ll contribute:
Manages a variety of medical staff meetings and projects, including the independent performance of a wide range of complex administrative assistant duties and a multitude of office procedures in support of the Campus Officers of the medical staff at the campus location.Serves as a liaison between Campus medical staff members and Campus Officers, centralized medical staff services, other hospital departments, and administration to provide outstanding customer service and accepting responsibility to build and maintain relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Meeting Management – Coordinates the Campus medical staff master calendar and circulates on campus and to the system Medical Staff Office.Provides total management in conjunction with the chair, of meetings including scheduling, conference room reservation, food, tele-video conferencing, agenda preparation, and is knowledgeable on agenda items and able to participate.Is responsible for the minutes and records conclusions and recommendations succinctly and accurately to substantiate actions taken.Posts meeting minutes to Sharepoint within seven business days. Maintains and protects the confidential records of proceedings which may be required in subsequent internal investigations and/or external legal disputes. Forwards recommendations and follow-up, submission of all minutes to System Medical Staff Office.
Manages Campus Code of Conduct (COC) process. Receives all reports and processes according to the Medical Staff Code of Conduct Policy MSP#101 maintaining confidently of this highly sensitive committee.Responsible for the scheduling of this Committee, including guiding the Chief of Staff in meetings. Submits COC report with the Campus disposition and all related correspondence and documentation to System Code of Conduct Committee.
Maintains up to date knowledge regarding the Medical Staff Bylaws, Organizational Policy, Credentialing Policy, Allied Health Policy, Peer Review Policy and General Rules and Regulations. Serves as a knowledgeable resource.Educates Campus medical staff leaders, hospital personnel and administrators as necessary and/or requested.
Conducts Medical Staff Required Campus Orientation for all new physician and Allied Health Applicants. Reviews required materials from the orientation manual and completes orientation check list and survey with each candidate. Assists with appointments for Mask fit testing and hospital badge as applicable.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Office Administration, or related field OR.
Minimum three years’ experience in a healthcare environment.
Experience in meeting management and minutes recording.
Preferred qualifications:
Medical staff services office experience.
Experience with credentialing software.
Certified Professional Medical Staff Management credential.
