This highly visible leadership role requires an experienced people-centered executive to advance the strategic role of human resources during a time of momentum and transformation for the university.

Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the senior executive team, the VPHR serves as a strategic partner to institutional leadership and colleagues at all levels to position the university's workforce to meet its current and future needs. This is an exciting moment in time to join NSU and to play a significant role in the continued evolution of NSU into a premier educational, research, and healthcare institution.
Leading a dedicated team of approximately 40 professionals, the VPHR will formulate and recommend strategic human resource policies and objectives that ensure integration of the university's values and mission; provide guidance to drive business strategy and value; build organizational strategic alignment to support execution of institutional goals and strategic plan; stay informed on workforce trends and business environment changes; and focus on shared responsibility for managing and leading talent and culture while building workforce capability.
Success in this important role will require strong collaboration, experience leading change, the ability to build and lead teams, a partnership-based approach with university leadership, faculty, staff, researchers, and clinicians, and sophisticated business and operational acumen. The successful candidate will bring broad and contemporary knowledge of all areas of human resources and a master's degree in HR Management, Business, Management, Public Administration or related field plus at least ten years of progressive human resources leadership experience in a highly matrixed complex organization.
