Position Overview:
The OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner functions in an Advanced Practice role as a clinical expert in the clinical ambulatory setting.  Practicing within developed Standardized Procedures the nurse practitioner plans, implements and evaluates the plan of care and seeks to improve care through collaborative/collegial practice among caregivers/providers/disciplines.

• Demonstrated expertise in assessment, intervention, and patient care management.
• Knowledgeable regarding scope of practice.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Skilled at conflict resolution.
• Independent performer.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Current California N.P. certification
• Master’s degree in nursing with completion of approved nurse practitioner program
• Graduate from an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Education 
• Three (3) years related healthcare experience.
• Evidence of continuing education and self-development
• BLS certification
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PIHGSH Only)
