As part of Global Immunology and Immunotoxicology (I&I) department, provide support to, Safety Assessment (SA), and standalone studies over a wide range of Immunology and Immunotoxicology platforms supporting enhanced solutions based approach to Clients requests.
The jobholder has specific scientific responsibilities which include participating in all procedures in the operational areas of I&I. These include sample analysis, data review, metrology, supporting validations and general Laboratory support duties. The jobholder will assist with the running of projects within the department. The jobholder will assist Management and other scientists in key aspects of internal training and development activities.
Organizes and conducts routine and non-routine sample analysis in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.
Documents work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records.
Sets up, operates and performs routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment.
Provides input and participates in project meetings, plans, monitors and guides project work.
Performs QC review of data.
Informs Study Director, Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data and participates in corrective action of problems.
Contributes towards a cohesive team environment.
Learns to assist in setting up and performing method development and validation of various Immunotoxicology assays.
Maintains awareness and compliance with all safety directives and safety procedures in accordance with the regulations.
Accepts responsibility in ensuring clean and safe laboratory work environment
Reviews equipment logs and ensures they are completed in a timely manner
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Trains less experienced staff in processes, techniques and use of the instrumentation and acts as a mentor
Recognize and initiate process improvement.
Participates in client visits and inspections as needed.
Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
Facilitate and Monitor sample analysis, data write up and reporting
Assists in writing text for methods or protocols.
Advanced troubleshooting of instrumentation
Competent in a comprehensive range of I&I procedures
Reviews and updates SOP?s / AP / WD?s
Considers financial implications of ongoing activities. Exercises and maintains levels of competence, integrity and interpersonal skills to attain regulatory and quality goals
Awareness of and duties encompassing all of the responsibilities of other steps in career progressions.
